There are rumours circulating that the new GT-R (R35) is gonna have something called electrically assisted turbos (in Japan anyways, rumor is we're getting a V8 here). Anyhoo, apparently these electrically assisted turbos have no lag, cause they use something to spool the turbos before they would otherwise be spooled. Sounds very cool, and my question is, do ya think that kind of technology could be retroactively applied to the Z? Actually, does this kind of technology even actually exist, or is this just more breathless hype spewed by the rumour mill (kind of like that S2000R...sounds legit, but actually impossible).
